North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Distinguished Professor Hossein Sarrafzadeh, Ph.D., director of the Center for Excellence in Cybersecurity Research, Education and Outreach (CREO), will lead a discussion on the state of election security, future challenges and current work Thursday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to noon.

Shuttles to the facility at 2105 Yanceyville St., Greensboro, will be offered.

N.C. A&T’s Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) and CREO are observing October as National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCAM) with a series of events designed to do the following:

  • Answer the question Have I been hacked?
  • Promote awareness about FREE cybersecurity education and certificate opportunities from A&T industry partners such as IBM’s Security Learning Academy and the CISCO Academy.
  • Highlight the importance of cybersecurity at A&T and beyond.

Each event is FREE.
