Demonstrations on using the Hak5 toolkit, which is a collection of hardware tools used for hacking different devices, will be offered Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Smith Hall Room 2014.

This event is open to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University students, faculty and employees, as well as students and employees in Guilford County schools.

N.C. A&T’s Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) and the Center for Excellence in Cybersecurity Research, Education and Outreach (CREO) are observing October as National Cybersecurity Awareness Month with a series of events designed to do the following:

  • Answer the question Have I been hacked?
  • Promote awareness about FREE cybersecurity education and certificate opportunities from A&T industry partners such as IBM’s Security Learning Academy and the CISCO Academy.
  • Highlight the importance of cybersecurity at A&T and beyond.

Each event is FREE.
